Let's face it, we all have concerns about what the future holds for us and our families. Job loss is at an all time high and the financial markets are a mess. Rather than focusing on the negative, I am going to shift gears and share with you the opportunities that have me really excited.
I am fortunate to say the last 8 years of my career in real estate have been filled with success, but a lot has changed. When the economy started to adjust it became clear to me that a back-up plan or two was a must. Luckily the opportunities knocked on my door and I would like to share them with you. It is only right for me to pay it forward.
First of all it all it is so important to figure out your true life purpose and it is important to read "The Success Principles" by Jack Canfield. This is the finest personal growth book that I have ever read. I discovered this book through a friend who sent it to me after keeping it in his office for six months due to my busy schedule. It sat on my desk for another month and then I picked it up and I will never put it down. The author, Jack Canfield is one of the masterminds behind the "Chicken Soup for the Soul Collection". This book helped me organize each specific area of my life and create more time and higher levels of production.
This is the time to diversify so please read on!
I continue as a successful real estate broker handling an equal balance of commercial and residential transactions. Many are skeptical of today's market, but a select few see this as a time of much opportunity to acquire and hold. In 1994 many astute investors did as such and now they are sitting well positioned and ready to acquire more and more property. Though I have a lot of faith in a steady market, I chose to diversify and look into other opportunities.
Well sometimes opportunity knocks on your door, but sadly many turn it down due to skepticism, lack of faith, lack of time or other limiting beliefs. This very opportunity knocked on my door just a few weeks ago. A good friend and colleague called me to share his opportunity with me. I quickly agreed to listen. This person happens to be a seven-figure earner, so it was not a hard sell to get me interested. After his presentation I got involved and it's proving to be a lucrative opportunity that not only allows me to earn beyond the wildest dreams, but I also get to spend time with friends in doing so. The company happens to be the worlds largest distributor in their arena and offers technology beyond all the major players. This business could very well be the answer to a lot of the struggles in today's economy. If you are interested in more information, I would be glad to share it with you.
Another business that I own is a smaller niche construction company that is growing rapidly. My business partner and I turned this business around in 30 days by collaborating, delegating and a lot positive energy. My point in sharing this is that all businesses can grow through the above-mentioned strategies that we used.
I am finding that so many people I speak with are negative or are overly optimistic about the new administrations "bail-out" programs. We need to each be accountable for our own actions and create our own future and destiny. It is my goal to create a legacy for my children and hopefully generations to come. We need to be in high spirits and each be accountable for our own lives. I believe deeply that the government is doing whatever they can to correct the economy, but that does not directly change your outcome now. If an opportunity presents itself to you, see it with open eyes and really do your best to take it seriously. That is exactly what I have done and it is working well.
Time is of the essence and we are in the midst of the largest transference of wealth in history. Will you get your piece of the pie? Are you ready to take some risks? Do it and be ruthless with your time. Your times is valuable and so is your knowledge. Success is at the tip of your fingers and limiting beliefs are in the way of so many. Get beyond them and you will experience your dreams turn to reality.
